Weather Outlook for the South East
The latest forecast for the South East of Ireland suggests a mixed spell of weather over the coming week, with a combination of sunshine and scattered showers.
Daytime temperatures are expected to range between 9°C and 14°C, while overnight temperatures may fall to around 1°C to 7°C. These conditions are typical for mid-March as spring weather begins to settle in across the region.
The early part of the week looks somewhat unsettled with occasional showers, particularly over the weekend and early next week. However, forecasts indicate drier and brighter conditions later in the week, which may provide good opportunities for outdoor work where ground conditions allow.
What This Means on the Farm
🌱 Grass growth should begin to gradually improve as soil temperatures increase.
🐄 Grazing opportunities may open up during the drier spells depending on ground conditions.
🚜 Field work may become possible later in the week if the forecasted dry weather arrives.
Spring weather in Ireland can be very changeable, so farmers will need to make the most of short dry windows for grazing and early season work.
We will continue to monitor conditions here at Kehoe Farming and share further farm updates as the season progresses.
